De Serre, in the heart of Antwerp, had the ambition of becoming a leading test site for innovative horeca technologies.

They came to WeWantMore for their branding and interior design with a very clear brief: steer cleer of an overly clean or technological environment, but instead create a cosy restaurant space that matches the gentle name and can easily be turned into an event space at night.
We turned this inspiring venue into an abstract greenhouse, creating metal frames with illustrations based on the insect world, and placing real bugs on the wall. This was combined with inspiring wall paintings and beautiful walls of greenery.
The result is an interior that is multifunctional but looks classy in all its forms.
During the day, the steel bar top goes up to reveal a marble self-service bar. At night the plants go up and the bar comes down to facilitate
